Dr. Lynda got a late start in her natural healing career. Her children were grown and married and she had 4 grandchildren when she decided she wanted to become a Holistic Health Practitioner. She was already an ordained minister, had a DD (doctor of divinity), and a PhD in Religious Studies. Her dream was to start a congregation of people who wanted to live a natural life style and move toward the way God had originally intended, what she calls "God's prescription for health." She believes that God gave us the tools to maintain our health when he put us here. He provided these tools in the plants, animals, water and air. God's prescription for health comes only from those sources, not artificial chemical drugs.
After much prayer and soul searching, she decided to find a school that would admit her although she was approaching 60 years of age. She found Clayton College of Natural Health in Georgia. She was able to pass their entrance requirements, so she began her studies. It wasn't easy, she had been out of school over 40 years. She struggled through and was able to obtain her BHNS (bachelor of holistic nutritional studies) with an A average. She continues to study for her ND and PhD in Holistic Health degrees. She plans to continue taking courses after she obtains her degree in order to amass as much information as possible to aid in keeping people healthy for a long time to come.
Dr. Lynda has established the Natural Health and Longevity Clinic located at 5109 Raymond Stotzer Pkwy, College Station, TX 77845, where she sees clients every week day from 10:00am to 6:00pm, to guide and educate them on natural ways to improve and maintain their health and quality of life.
Dr. Lynda wanted to reach out beyond the local area to try to help those who could not come into her clinic for help and education. That was when she decided to go to the Internet and bring as much as she possibly could to the virtual world and spread the word about natural, holistic wellness. This gave birth to the ELAN Wellness Network.
Dr. Lynda has another web site, http://www.doctorlynda.com , which gives a more detailed breakdown of Dr. Lynda's philosophy and works.
